Trapezi’s 2017 partners:
La Central del Circ (Barcelona)
La Central del Circ is a creation, research, training, rehearsal and continuous learning centre for circus professionals.
Its space covers over 3,000 m2 at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona to accompany them in all their stages of their work, from the daily training to the artistic residence, as well as involving continuous training, international mobility and artistic advice in different stages of the production.
As a part of Trapezi 2016 programme, professionals will visit La Central del Circ (programa link) and to know its participation in the internacional project Circus Incubator (programa link).
El Convent de les Arts (Alcover)
Artistic centre placed in a restored convent of Santa Anna, in the privileged setting of Alcover, half way through Tarragona’s area and Prades Mountains
Currently they are working on the call’s guidelines to foster artists in residence. As regards the programming, the Convent holds concerts and small format shows.
This 2016 starts the collaboration with Trapezi offering a week of residency to the artist Joan Català to develop his new show ‘Menar’. This production in progress will be presented in Trapezi’s showcase ‘Dóna’m una pista’ (Friday 13/04 at 17.30h at Pl. Peixateries).
Associació de Professionals de Circ de Catalunya (APCC)
APCC represents the different branches Catalan circus professionals (artists, technicians, businessmen, representatives, officers, directors, playwrights, set designers, choreographers, critics, theorists, teachers, etc.).
The purpose of the Associació de Professionals de Circ de Catalunyais to bring together different sectors of the Catalan circus to promote, disseminate and standardize this scene art in all its forms, placing it as a fact inherently cultural in space that corresponds with the others performing arts. To meet these aims, the APCC will work, among other fields, to influence positively in training, creation, production, dissemination and circuits, heritage and fiscal and labor frameworks. All profit motive is excluded.
The Escola de Circ Rogelio Rivel (Circus Arts Center Rogelio Rivel – Barcelona) and Carampa – Escuela de Circo (Madrid).
The students from both schools share one more year the space El Covador at Trapezi.
