Nu (Naked) is a contemporary circus spectacle with five artists on stage who coexists with different performing arts languages to discover themselves in a hybrid space. Nu is the proposal that Quim Girón, and the team accompanying him, has created as a response to Ateneu Popular 9 Barris’ commission to make a all audiences show for the new edition of Circ d’Hivern.
Nu talks with easiness and transparency about human relationships and how these interact with objects. The contact of bodies and objects will create absurd situations full of magic, poetry and tender humour.
The artists use different circus’ disciplines without making the exercise more than the mere signifier; acrobatics, hand balancing, hair hang and aerial perch unfold on stage to be used in different ways. Nu goes deeper in the technique to find different ways to use it in order not to define the show.
