Xpectro

Xpectro is a multidisciplinary performance that addresses autism and other neurodivergences from a creative and pedagogical perspective, inviting viewers to delve into a universe of emotions, offering a reflective and empathetic view of diversity.

The play is about an encounter between two neurodivergent individuals who discover, through circus, music, and dance, a means of communicating, connecting, expressing their feelings, and confronting their own fears and challenges. A performance that invites reflection on the potential of art as an element that generates an approach to the unknown and the atypical, and helps us perceive "the different" as an opportunity to learn and discover new ways of relating, with the aim of making the spectrum visible and normalized from a more inclusive perspective.

Birds caged in their heads want to take flight, but they struggle. In the face of a dehumanized society, birds cannot flap their wings.

Xpectro seeks to immerse viewers in the imagery and sensoriality of autism and neurodivergence through a creative and positive approach, while also reflecting underlying conflicts that are part of their daily lives. Emotional management, resilience, social exclusion, and bullying are all interesting aspects of the scenes.
