Physical risk and shared vulnerability woven through circus.
Abans de caure is a stage piece that uses contemporary circus as its main language to explore the concepts of vulnerability and risk. The work is built around the relationships between the five performers—their bonds, physical wear, and the shared stress inherent in the technical practice of circus. All of this generates a palpable tension that connects with the audience from an honest and relatable place, inviting reflection on exposure, fragility and risk as essential driving forces of a discipline that cannot move forward without collaboration and mutual respect.
This connection fosters empathy and highlights the performing arts as tools for transforming collective experiences, expanding the possibilities of circus into new ways of storytelling and of being experienced.
