30 years connecting circus and its professionals

In its 30th edition, Fira Trapezi reaffirms its role as a strategic marketplace for contemporary circus, consolidating Reus as a key meeting point for professionals in Catalonia, across Spain and internationally. Trapezi 2026 brings together 50 companies and more than 150 artists, presenting 76 performances across 20 venues in the city of Reus, including three big tops that symbolize a return to the origins of circus. An edition that combines large-scale productions with intimate and experimental proposals.

Directors Cristina Cazorla and Alba Sarraute continue to expand performance spaces and strengthen their commitment to contemporary circus, with a perspective that pays special attention to Catalan talent, including those working and creating abroad. The fair thus reaffirms its commitment to culture, inclusion, work-life balance and the diversification of stage formats, turning Reus into a large open stage thanks to the involvement of audiences and professionals.

The Professional Area, led by Paula Gutiérrez and Jessica Pérez, with Belén Brandido as facilitator, promotes spaces for meeting and connection between creators, distributors, programmers and institutions, fostering networking, the circulation of performances and knowledge exchange. The professional activities of Fira Trapezi Pro Catalan Arts will take place on the mornings and midday sessions of May 13, 14 and 15, 2026. These sessions bring together more than 400 professionals each year and become a key space to build alliances, share strategies and generate new opportunities for circus.

The Trapezi Pro Area would not be possible without the support of ICEC and Catalan Arts, which contribute to strengthening the professionalization and international projection of the sector.

Trapezi works in network with Circostrada Network, CircoRED, La Red, COFAE and the II Circus Promotion Plan, reinforcing ties with the national and European sector and contributing to the international projection of Catalan circus.
