Koosha is a contemporary circus show inspired by the past.
With Eastern aromas, Fellini-esque tones, and the spirit of a popular fair, it ventures through circus, physical theatre, and live music into a poetic reinterpretation of the life and essence of traveling performers.
It pays tribute to a profession that is also a way of life, exchange, and culture in constant motion—an occupation that continually oscillates between precariousness and success.
Like a two-sided coin, Koosha unfolds a reversible universe where its peculiar characters, Koosha and Boris Anatoly, showcase their talents and share their existential challenges. Heads and tails alternate between the spectacular and the mundane, tradition and the never-before-seen.
Koosha and Boris Anatoly captivate and immerse us in a world of aged aromas, presenting their unusual skills and curious customs. Instruments and humble objects magically transform in their hands, creating unique and unforgettable moments.
Koosha presents a “poor circus” through a multidisciplinary narrative with long-standing resonances and exotic surprises from who-knows-where.
